Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole is a 2010 computer animated fantasy adventure film that based on the first three books of the Guardians of Ga'Hoole series which was authored by Kathryn Lasky. The film was directed by Zack Snyder under the distribution of Warner Bros together with Australian studios Village Roadshow Pictures, Animal Logic, and Cruel and Unusual Films.
The plot of the film centered on Soren, a young owl who was captured together with his older brother Kludd by the evil owls who calls themselves “Pure Ones”. Despite the fact that Soren and his brother was still on the stage of learning flying, he courageously opposed the Pure Ones while his brother joined the Pure Ones with the thought that it would bring him into greatness.
The Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole is a heart warming animation film that shows courage and faith that good wills prevail and that after the storm there will always a sun that shines.
The main characters of the film were voiced by Jim Sturgess as Soren, Ryan Kwanten as Kludd, Adrienne DeFaria as Eglantine, Emily Barclay as Gylfie, David Wenham as Digger, Anthony LaPaglia as Twilight, Joel Edgerton as Metal Beak who is the main protagonist, and Helen Mirren as Nyra who is the wife of Metal Beak and the one who manages the Pure Ones.
